This would have decreased the risk of starvation and malnutrition, leading to better overall health and increased chances of survival and reproduction.
(2) Increased population growth: With a more stable food supply provided by agriculture, populations in agricultural societies were able to grow at a faster rate compared to hunter-gatherer societies. This increase in population size provided more labor for farming and other activities, as well as a larger pool of potential mates for individuals, ultimately increasing the likelihood of survival and reproduction for members of the society.
