Which law would be modeled by the image on the left?

Illustration of a person sitting in an ejector seat. In the first image the upward push of the chair and downward pull of gravity are equal, and the person is at rest. In the second image the upward push of the chair is greater than the downward pull of gravity, and the person accelerates upward?

wrong explain

My apologies for the incorrect response. The law depicted by the image on the left is Newton's First Law, also known as the law of inertia. This law states that an object at rest will remain at rest, and an object in motion will continue in motion with the same velocity, unless acted upon by an external force. In the first image, the person is at rest because the upward push of the chair is equal to the downward pull of gravity. In the second image, the person accelerates upward because the upward push of the chair is greater than the downward pull of gravity, causing a net external force and a change in motion.
