That's exactly how it's written on my homework page.

OK. I misread the question. Sorry.
7/1.75 = 4
4 * 3/4 = 12/4 = 3 cups of milk
4 * 1 = 4 cups of flour

To determine the amount of each ingredient needed, we'll have to set up a proportion based on the given ratio.
Let's assume that "x" represents the number of cups of flour needed for the recipe.
Using the ratio of 3/4 cup of milk for every 1 cup of flour, we can set up the following proportion:
3/4 = 7/1
To solve this proportion, we cross-multiply:
3 * 1 = 4 * 7
3 = 28
Next, we'll isolate the variable "x" by dividing both sides of the equation by 28:
x = 28/3
Simplifying, we get:
x β 9.33
Therefore, you would need approximately 9.33 cups of flour for the recipe.
To find the amount of milk, we can use the given ratio of 3/4 cup of milk for every 1 cup of flour. Since we determined that we need 9.33 cups of flour, we can calculate the amount of milk as follows:
9.33 cups of flour * 3/4 cup of milk per 1 cup of flour
= 9.33 * 3/4
= 28/4
= 7 cups of milk
Hence, you would need approximately 9.33 cups of flour and 7 cups of milk for the recipe.
