Julian, yours is alright. The word "americana" is a wrong translation.
And when I said it was right, I meant the translation in your second post. "Estadounidense" is the right word.
OR "Ella es norteamericana." People say: "Ella es americana" but that could mean centroamericana, sudamericana, etc.
