About the Trading posts...HBC and NWC.

Why were many posts of the rival companies placed next to each other?

This is so confusing. I am thinking that it might be for business matters, but I would like the whole thing please. And no sites, since they do not help me.

  3. Think a little more about this question. One store can provide needs and wants. Why do shoppers want more than one store selling similar goods near each other?

  4. Because each store can offer their own benefits of the products/goods that they are selling, so that they can compete. Both stores may have same quality of products as each other, but the benefit is, that one store may offer the product at a lower price than the other.

    This is still confusing:/

  7. Yeah I would like to shop in stores that are near each other. Oh so the posts of the rival companies were placed next to each other because it was easier for the people to pick up goods.
