I don't even know where to start with this problem... i'm supposed to simplify it but i don't get how, please help!

12e^x / e^4x

  2. Use the law of exponents:
    xa / xb
    =xa-b

    So,
    12e^x/e^4x
    =12e^((1-4)x)
    =12e^(-3x)
