# The question on my assignment I'm having trouble with is:

18xy squared + 12x squared y cubed

I have to factorise it, and it doesn't work out.

If anyone knows how to do this question, please help!

I suggest that you go to some-one that know's what there talking about and ask them for help.

18x y^2 + 12x y^3

factor out y^2

y^2 ( 18x + 12xy)

Now factor out 6x, a common factor..

6xy^2(3 + .....

hahah

6xy squared(3y +2y)

u take out common factors

Info: There are 48 dogs; collies, retrievers, terriors, setters, and samoyeds. 15 are setters.

Question: The ratio of collies to setters was 2:3. How many are collies?

how would you work out a centered enlargment?

how would you work out a centered enlargment?

## To work out a centered enlargement, you will need the scale factor and the center of enlargement.

Here are the steps to do a centered enlargement:

1. Determine the scale factor: The scale factor determines how much the original figure will be enlarged or reduced. It can be a whole number, a fraction, or a decimal.

2. Identify the center of enlargement: The center of enlargement is the point about which the figure is enlarged or reduced. It can be any point on the plane.

3. Draw lines connecting each point of the original figure to the center of enlargement.

4. Measure the distance from the center of enlargement to each point of the original figure. Multiply each distance by the scale factor.

5. Use these measured distances to plot the points of the enlarged or reduced figure.

Keep in mind that for an enlargement, the distance from the center of enlargement to each point of the original figure is multiplied by the scale factor to find the corresponding point on the enlarged figure. If the scale factor is greater than 1, the figure will be enlarged. If the scale factor is between 0 and 1, the figure will be reduced.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions.
