Defining livelihoods

Livelihoods refer to the means by which individuals and households earn a living to sustain themselves and their families. This includes the resources, assets, and activities that people engage in to meet their basic needs and improve their well-being. Livelihoods can take various forms, such as employment in a formal sector, self-employment, agriculture, fishing, or other types of work. A person's livelihood is essential for their economic security, social status, and overall quality of life.
