The text next to the map describes the Triangle Trade, with each line of the triangle representing a different part of the trade:

1. From Europe to Africa: Manufactured goods, textiles, rum, and firearms were traded for enslaved Africans.
2. From Africa to the Americas: Enslaved Africans were transported to the Americas to work on plantations and in mines.
3. From the Americas to Europe: Raw materials such as sugar, tobacco, cotton, and precious metals were exported back to Europe.
