Assignment 2 Major Project – Development and Implementation of GBV toolkit for rural communities.

Instructions: In this paper you’re required to work in pairs. Imagine you’re a GBV Coordinator in your local District in which you are the key advocator and facilitator of GBV programs. You are responsible for developing, implementing and managing GBV programs that foster a violence free community. Your roles involves constructing and enforcing GBV policies, designing and delivering training programs, and collaborating with other stakeholders to integrate these principles/knowledge to them.

Key Responsibilities; (Guidelines)
Policy Development and Implementation.
Develop, review, and implement GBV policies in your local district.
Ensures that policies align with legal requirements.
Collaborate with relevant departments to integrate GBV principles to the stakeholders.
Training and Awareness;
Design and deliver training programs on GBV for key stakeholders to implement at the district level.
Foster awareness and understanding of GBV issues throughout the district.

Activity plans: What is actually required from you to do? (Marks will be awarded for these 3 parts separately)
Develop GBV policies that are suitable for your districts to implement. Look for a sample of GBV policies and come up with your own. (2 – 3 pages) refer to PDF National strategy to Prevent and Respond to GBV pages 31 –35 as a guide
Design a three (3) days training program that outlines the GBV policies, the GBV Concepts and principles (What is GBV, Forms of GBV, Impacts of GBV, Data etc) , How to implement GBV principles by the relevant partners and etc. The program sheet should contain the date (s), timings, topic, facilitator, tea breaks & lunch, reviews etc. (5 - 7pages).
After compiling your activity plan 1 and 2 above, you will be given 15 minutes to present to the GBV Consultant simply by explaining your activity plans 1 and 2 in class. Make sure to provide copies of the two documents to class (GBV policies + all the contents stated on the 3 days program). Each of you will be assessed differently on the presentation part.
