All species have a tolerance limit before they are no longer well suited to live in their environment. In three to five sentences, discuss the potential outcomes for a population when that limit is reached. There are at least four possibilities, and one point will be assigned per potential outcome mentioned. (4 points)

When a population reaches its tolerance limit in an environment, one potential outcome is that the population may experience a decline in numbers due to increased mortality rates or decreased reproductive success. Another potential outcome is that individuals within the population may exhibit signs of stress or reduced fitness, such as decreased growth rates or higher susceptibility to diseases. Additionally, the population may be forced to adapt to the changing environment by developing new behaviors or physiological characteristics in order to survive. In some cases, if the tolerance limit is severely surpassed, the population may face extinction.
