Describe how ablution is performed

Ablution, also known as wudu in Islam, is the ritual purification before prayer. It is performed in a specific order and involves washing certain parts of the body. The steps for performing ablution are as follows:

1. Begin by saying 'Bismillah' (In the name of Allah).
2. Wash both hands up to the wrists three times.
3. Rinse the mouth three times, ensuring that water reaches the back of the mouth.
4. Inhale water into the nostrils and exhale it out three times.
5. Wash the face three times, from the hairline to the chin and from ear to ear.
6. Wash the arms up to the elbows, starting with the right arm and then the left arm, three times.
7. Wipe the head with wet hands, starting from the forehead and moving to the back of the head.
8. Wipe the inside and outside of the ears with wet fingers.
9. Wash the feet up to the ankles, starting with the right foot and then the left foot, three times.

After completing these steps, one is considered to be in a state of ritual purity and ready to perform prayer. It is important to perform ablution correctly and with focus and intention.
