Probability Sample Work

1. A retailer wants to determine the satisfaction level of their customers. They randomly select 500 customers who have made a purchase in the last month and send them a survey to fill out. This is an example of a probability sample because all customers have an equal chance of being selected.

2. A research team wants to study the effects of a new medication on a specific population. They randomly select 100 participants from a list of all individuals in that population. This is also an example of a probability sample because every individual in the population has an equal chance of being selected.

3. A political pollster wants to gauge public opinion on a upcoming election. They randomly select 1,000 registered voters from a list of all registered voters in the district. This is a probability sample because every registered voter has an equal chance of being selected.

4. A marketing team wants to test a new advertising campaign on a specific demographic. They randomly select 200 individuals from that demographic group and show them the ad. This is a probability sample because each individual in the demographic group has an equal chance of being selected.

5. A university wants to determine the average GPA of all its students. They randomly select 500 students from the entire student body and calculate the average GPA. This is a probability sample because every student in the university has an equal chance of being selected.
