Name 6 categories we use to evaluate a source

1. Credibility - Is the author or organization reputable and knowledgeable on the topic?

2. Accuracy - Are the facts and information presented accurate and supported by evidence?
3. Objectivity - Is the source biased or does it present both sides of an issue fairly?
4. Currency - How up-to-date is the information? Is it relevant to the topic at hand?
5. Relevance - Does the source provide information that is directly related to the research topic?
6. Purpose - What is the intention of the source? Is it to inform, persuade, entertain, or something else?
