I recently read the book "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and watched the movie adaptation. One main similarity I noticed between the two is that both the book and the film follow the same storyline of Harry discovering he is a wizard and attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. However, one key difference is that the book is able to provide more details and background information about the characters and the wizarding world, whereas the film had to condense certain scenes to fit within a certain runtime. Overall, I enjoyed both the book and the movie, but I think the book allowed me to use my imagination more and create my own mental images of the magical world.
