Motocross

The exhilarating sport of motocross first began in England. The earliest motocross event was believed to have been held in 1924 at Camberley in Surrey, England. About 80 people participated in the race that had a rough terrain made of steep hills and mud. Following that race, the sport's popularity grew internationally. People became obsessed with the sport because it tested not only the motorcycle's performance but also the rider's ability.
Over the years, motocross began to transform; the tracks became shorter, and the obstacles became tougher. Motorcycles also began to adapt to support the new rigors of motocross. The motorcycle's frame became less stiff so that the bike could absorb the rough riding better. The riders also started to improve by practicing and learning new techniques. These changes helped continue the popularity of motocross in the years to come.
