By the ninth century, the Empire had emerged in eastern Indo China. It developed around agriculture and used to store water to the south. The Serbia empire emerged in it, replied on farming and trade.

It quickly became a powerful and wealthy empire, controlling much of the region through a combination of military conquest and diplomacy. The empire's capital city was located in present-day Ho Chi Minh City, and it was known for its sophisticated urban planning, impressive architecture, and advanced irrigation systems.

The Serla empire also had a thriving economy, with trade routes stretching across Asia and beyond. It traded in goods such as rice, silk, spices, and precious metals, which brought great wealth to the empire. The empire was also known for its cultural achievements, including literature, art, and architecture.

Despite its power and prosperity, the Serla empire eventually declined in the 11th century due to internal conflicts, invasions from neighboring kingdoms, and natural disasters. By the 12th century, the empire had been absorbed into the growing Khmer Empire, and its former territories became part of a larger empire that dominated much of Southeast Asia.

Today, the legacy of the Serla empire lives on in the rich cultural heritage of the region, with many of its architectural and artistic achievements still standing as testament to its former glory.
