A gardener wants to cover a parallelogram-shaped piece of land with colorful flowers. To find the area of the garden, the gardener composes a rectangle. What is the base of the rectangle in meters? It’s a rectangle and the length are 10 m and 12 m.

To find the base of the rectangle, we need to calculate the area of the parallelogram-shaped piece of land first.

The area of a parallelogram is calculated by multiplying the base by the height. In this case, the base of the parallelogram is 12 meters and the height is 10 meters.

Area of parallelogram = base x height
Area = 12m x 10m
Area = 120 square meters

Since the rectangle is composed of this parallelogram-shaped piece of land, the base of the rectangle will also be 12 meters.
