Provide personal experience of marginalised groups include race

As a person of color, I have experienced marginalization based on my race in various aspects of my life. From being overlooked for job opportunities to facing discrimination in social settings, the impact of being part of a marginalized group has been significant. I have often felt invisible and stereotyped, which can be demoralizing and isolating.

One specific example that stands out is when I was pulled over by the police for a minor traffic violation. Despite complying with all instructions and remaining calm, I was treated with suspicion and hostility simply because of the color of my skin. The officer’s assumptions about me based on my race were hurtful and made me feel powerless and unfairly targeted.

Additionally, in academic and professional settings, I have faced challenges in being taken seriously and having my perspectives valued. I have had my intelligence questioned and my opinions dismissed because of preconceived notions about what someone of my race is capable of.

Despite these experiences of marginalization, I continue to advocate for greater inclusivity and diversity in all areas of society. I believe that by sharing my personal experiences and contributing to conversations about race and inequality, we can work towards building a more equitable and just world for all individuals, regardless of their race or background.
