Despite the global commitment to "Never Again" following the horrors of the Holocaust, atrocity crimes continue to occur for a variety of reasons. This includes ongoing conflicts, political instability, and the inability or unwillingness of the international community to effectively intervene and prevent such crimes. Additionally, factors such as ethnic tensions, discrimination, and deep-seated prejudices contribute to the perpetuation of violence and mass atrocities. It is clear that simply making a pledge to never repeat the atrocities of the past is not enough; concrete action and international cooperation are required to effectively prevent and address these crimes.
