As a microscopic carbon atom, my favorite process to travel through in the carbon cycle would be photosynthesis. During photosynthesis, plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to produce glucose, releasing oxygen as a byproduct. Not only is this process essential for the growth and survival of plants, but it also helps to regulate the Earth's atmosphere by removing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen. Being a part of photosynthesis would give me the opportunity to contribute to the balance of gases in the atmosphere and support the growth of all living organisms on Earth.
