Lesson Plan On The grade 4s about personal and social well-being

Objective: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to identify strategies for maintaining personal and social well-being.

Materials:
- Handout with tips for personal and social well-being
- Whiteboard and markers
- Chart paper and markers

Procedure:

1. Introduction (10 minutes)
- Begin the lesson by asking students to define personal and social well-being. Have a brief discussion about why it is important to take care of our personal and social health.
- Explain to students that today they will be learning about different strategies for maintaining personal and social well-being.

2. Brainstorming (15 minutes)
- Divide the students into small groups and have them brainstorm different ways they can promote personal and social well-being. Encourage them to think about activities they enjoy, ways to connect with others, and strategies for managing stress.
- After 10-15 minutes, bring the groups back together and have each group share their ideas with the class. Write their responses on the whiteboard.

3. Tips for Personal and Social Well-being (15 minutes)
- Hand out the tips for personal and social well-being handout to each student. Go over each tip together as a class, discussing why each one is important and how it can improve personal and social well-being.
- Encourage students to ask questions and share their own experiences related to the tips.

4. Group Activity (15 minutes)
- Divide the students into new groups and explain that they will be creating a poster that includes their favorite tips for personal and social well-being. Each group will choose 3-4 tips to include on their poster.
- Provide students with chart paper and markers, and allow them 10-15 minutes to create their posters.
- Once the posters are complete, have each group present their poster to the class and explain why they chose their particular tips.

5. Closing (5 minutes)
- To wrap up the lesson, ask students to reflect on what they have learned about personal and social well-being. Have a brief discussion about how they can incorporate these strategies into their daily lives.
- Remind students that taking care of their personal and social well-being is important for their overall health and happiness.

Extension Activity:
- Have students create a personal well-being plan that includes specific goals and strategies for maintaining their personal and social well-being. Encourage them to share their plans with a friend or family member for accountability.
