Title: Personal Wellbeing

Grade Level: 4th Grade

Objective: Students will be able to identify and explain the importance of personal wellbeing, including physical, emotional, and social health.

Materials Needed:
- Whiteboard and markers
- Chart paper and markers
- Handouts on personal wellbeing
- Laminated pictures of different healthy and unhealthy habits
- Index cards with discussion questions

Lesson:

1. Introduction (10 minutes):
- Begin the lesson by asking students what personal wellbeing means to them.
- Write their responses on the whiteboard.
- Explain to students that personal wellbeing includes physical, emotional, and social health.

2. Discussion on Physical Health (15 minutes):
- Show the laminated pictures of different healthy and unhealthy habits.
- Ask students to identify the healthy habits and explain why they are important for physical health.
- Discuss the importance of eating healthy foods, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, practicing good hygiene, and avoiding harmful substances.

3. Discussion on Emotional Health (15 minutes):
- Show students a chart paper with a list of emotions.
- Ask students to identify the different emotions and describe what makes them feel each way.
- Discuss the importance of expressing emotions, managing stress, building positive relationships, and seeking help when needed.

4. Discussion on Social Health (15 minutes):
- Hand out the handouts on personal wellbeing.
- Ask students to read through the information on social health.
- Engage students in a discussion on the importance of building positive relationships, communicating effectively, resolving conflicts peacefully, and being respectful towards others.

5. Reflection and Closing (5 minutes):
- Distribute index cards with discussion questions related to personal wellbeing.

Extension Activity:
