1. Waves can be reflected by materials such as mirrors, smooth metal surfaces, and glass. For example, when sound waves hit a hard wall, they are reflected back towards the source of the sound.
2. Waves can be transmitted through materials such as air, water, and glass. For instance, light waves can pass through a clear glass window, allowing us to see through it.
3. Waves can be transmitted through a material when they pass through it with minimal absorption or reflection. On the other hand, waves can be reflected when they bounce off the surface of a material, changing direction.
