when you are already a teacher.
Toprovideyouasoundbasistodefineanddecideonwhataffectiveassessmenttoolwillbemost appropriate and useful to you, you need to do the following:
Look for the document on the Basic Education K to 12 Curriculum Framework in science major field as future teacher.
List the affective traits that are articulated in the curriculum framework.
Among the list of affective traits, decide which is the most important trait you want your future students to emulate. Make sure the answer to this question “why do you value it most to be measured?” is very clear for you to appreciate this performance task.
Review the taxonomy of affective domains as you develop the items in the assessment tool. You can choose any of the assessment tool discussed earlier in the module.
Consider the affective traits are not easily learned and developed, your assessment tool is intended at the end of the year, or midyear at the earliest.

Affective Traits in the Basic Education K to 12 Curriculum Framework in Science Major Field:

1. Curiosity
2. Open-mindedness
3. Collaboration
4. Responsibility
5. Integrity
6. Empathy
7. Respect for diversity
8. Appreciation of the value of science
9. Interest and enthusiasm in learning science

Among the list of affective traits, the most important trait I want my future students to emulate is collaboration. Collaboration is a crucial skill that not only promotes teamwork and communication, but also fosters a sense of community and respect for others' ideas and perspectives. I value this trait the most because it is essential in various aspects of life, both inside and outside the classroom. By measuring collaboration, I can assess how well students are able to work with others, share ideas, and contribute positively to group discussions and projects.

When developing the assessment tool, I will use the taxonomy of affective domains to ensure that the items align with the desired outcome. I will incorporate various types of questions and activities that assess students' ability to collaborate effectively, such as group projects, peer evaluations, and reflective essays on teamwork experiences. The assessment tool will be designed to evaluate not only the students' individual contributions, but also their ability to work together towards a common goal.

Given that collaboration is a skill that takes time to develop, the assessment tool will be implemented at the end of the school year to allow ample opportunity for students to practice and improve their collaborative abilities. By focusing on collaboration as a key affective trait, I aim to instill in my future students the importance of working with others and building strong relationships based on respect, communication, and mutual support.
