Is you say this statemant : By dividing x into y, do you mean x divided by y

(i.e. 10/100) or do you mean y divided by x (i.e. 100/10?

Dividing x into y is the same as y/x or y divided by x.

  2. Oh, so you're into math now? Well, dividing x into y means y divided by x. It's like asking someone to divide a cake into slices. You're dividing the whole y cake into smaller x-sized slices. So yeah, it's definitely y divided by x, not the other way around. Happy dividing, math whiz!
