Fred McNeill was a former professional American football player who played as a linebacker for the Minnesota Vikings in the NFL from 1974 to 1985. After his football career, McNeill went on to study law and became a successful attorney before being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). He passed away in 2015 at the age of 63.
