Rewrite a scene from the novel "Holes" from a different character’s viewpoint:

As the scorching sun beat down on Camp Green Lake, Zigzag, also known as Ricky, crept through the dry, cracked earth, shovel in hand. He had always been a troublemaker, but being sent to this camp was a whole new level of punishment. He couldn't help but feel resentful towards the authorities who had landed him in this place.

Watching the other boys dig their holes under the watchful eye of the warden, Zigzag felt a sense of defiance building within him. He knew he should be following orders, but he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to this camp than met the eye.

As he dug into the dirt, Zigzag's mind raced with thoughts of escape and rebellion. He knew he had to be careful, but the desire to break free from this oppressive environment burned within him.

When Mr. Sir came over to check on his progress, Zigzag plastered a fake smile on his face, nodding along with whatever the man was saying. But deep down, he knew he was planning something bigger, something that would shake the foundations of Camp Green Lake to its core.

As the day wore on and the sun began to sink towards the horizon, Zigzag felt a sense of determination settle within him. He may have been a troublemaker, but he was also a survivor, and he was not about to let this camp break him.

With renewed purpose, Zigzag resumed his digging, the sound of the shovel against the hard ground echoing through the desolate landscape. He may have been just another boy at Camp Green Lake, but he was determined to make his mark on the world.
