After seeing old age, sickness, death, and a holy man in the city streets, Siddhartha Gautama felt a deep sense of dissatisfaction and decided to leave behind his life of luxury and begin his search for the truth of life and existence. He renounced his princely status, left his wife and child, and embarked on a spiritual journey to seek enlightenment and liberation from suffering. This marked the beginning of his path towards becoming the Buddha, the enlightened one.
