Part 1 the following arguments are deductive, determine whether each is valid or invalid and note the relationship between your answer and truth or falsity of the premises and conclusion, finally determine whether the argument is sound or unsound

1) If George Washington was beheaded, then George Washington died.george Washington died.therefore George Washington was beheaded
2) since the Spanish American war occured before American civil war, and the American civil war occured after the Korean war,it follow that the Spanish American war occured before the Korean war
3) Washington Churchill was English, and Washington Churchill was famous statement,we may conclude that at least one English man was a famous statement
4) All physician are individual's who have earned degree in political science, and some lawyers are physicians therefore some lawyers are person who have earned degree in political science

1) This argument is invalid. Just because George Washington died does not mean he was beheaded. The argument is not sound because the conclusion does not necessarily follow from the premises.

If the Spanish American war occurred before the American civil war, and the American civil war occurred after the Korean war, then it logically follows that the Spanish American war occurred before the Korean war. The argument is sound because the conclusion logically follows from the premises.

3) This argument is invalid. Just because Washington Churchill was English and famous does not mean that at least one English man was a famous statement. The argument is not sound because the conclusion does not follow logically from the premises.

4) This argument is invalid. All physicians are not individuals who have earned degrees in political science. The argument is not sound because the conclusion does not necessarily follow from the premises.
