- Allusion: a reference to a well-known person, place, event, or literary work that is meant to enhance the reader's understanding or add depth to a text.

- Context clues: hints or information found within a text that help to define or understand the meaning of an unknown word or concept.

- Analogy: a comparison between two things that are similar in some way, often used to explain a complex idea or make something easier to understand.

- Connotation: the emotional or cultural associations that a word carries, in addition to its literal meaning.

- Stylistic techniques: literary devices or writing strategies that are used to enhance the effectiveness or impact of a piece of writing, such as imagery, symbolism, or repetition.

- Personification: a literary device in which human qualities or characteristics are attributed to non-human objects, animals, or ideas.
