The economic problems in Germany after World War I, such as hyperinflation and high unemployment rates, left the country in a state of instability and despair. This created a fertile ground for political instability and the rise of extremist parties, such as the Nazi Party led by Adolf Hitler. Hitler capitalized on the economic hardships, promising solutions and scapegoating various groups, such as Jews and Communists, to rally support and gain power. With a weak democratic government unable to effectively address the economic crisis, Hitler was able to establish a fascist government in the 1930s.
