Standard:
S6E3. Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information to recognize the significant role of water in Earth processes.
b. Plan and carry out an investigation to illustrate the role of the sun’s energy in atmospheric conditions that lead to the cycling of water. (Clarification statement: The water cycle should include evaporation, condensation, precipitation, transpiration, infiltration, groundwater, and runoff.)

Objective: Demonstrate your understanding of the components of the water cycle by building a model.

Directions:
You will create an original model (you may not use an image from the internet!) of the Water Cycle.
Choose how you will make your model. You may to either build a model out of your choice of materials OR you may create a digital model on your choice of platform.
If you choose to build a model, you can use any materials that you have. Some suggested items are play dough, clay, candy, toys, cardboard/recycled boxes, food, office supplies, legos. Be creative!
If you choose to create a digital model, you can use your choice of platform. Some possible options are: Google Slides, Microsoft Power Point, Paint, Prezi, Canva.
Include (AND LABEL) the following processes on your model:
The Sun
Evaporation
Condensation
Transpiration
Infiltration
Groundwater
Runoff
Include arrows showing an example of how water could travel through each step of the water cycle.
Take a picture or a screenshot of your model and place it in the Model Box below. If you created a digital model, please provide a link in the box below. Please make sure your link is public.
