Is there any reason to raise minimum wage? Yes, there are multiple reasons with the biggest one being livable wage. The minimum wage in Georgia is 7$ which is not good at all. The livable wage in Georgia is around 20 an hour. Just to live in the state of Georgia you will have to work 3 different jobs at minimum wage just to barely scrape by. This is extremely scummy and should not be legal.

Minimum wage in Georgia needs a serious upgrade or people will move to other states with better minimum wage. Why should you stay in Georgia when you can move somewhere else and make almost double in some states? Oh, because you don’t make enough to move away. So now these people struggling to survive are landlocked and cant go anywhere else.

If Georgia were to increase minimum wage, they would also decrease poverty levels in the state. Increasing minimum wage would lead to more people being able to live and not going homeless or into poverty. It would leave to less homeless people on the streets as well as less robberies as people can afford to live normally. People would also be more willing to help the homeless or poverty. The fake homeless would also be outed as well.

College would also end up being more affordable (Not that its affordable at all) and more people would be more willing to go to college to go up in the world. Then those very people would move up and it would open up those old jobs to new people who would keep the cycle going. This would also lead to a more stable economy.

Higher minimum wage benefits both the employee and the boss/owner of the company. Higher minimum wage leads to less worker turnover/departure and leads to more bonuses/raises for the employee. The owner/boss no longer has to worry as much as they do about workers leaving because of the better pay and bonuses which leads to higher production benefits. This change will lead to a great boom in the economy.

When workers have more money, they feel more comfortable. More comfortability leads to spending more. Spending more ends up stimulating the economy which leads to more money. It truly is a change which needs to be made in Georgia as it will also reduce the amount of government welfare spending.

Grows:

1. Critical Thinking and Analysis: The blog could benefit from providing more evidence and support for its claims. It states that increasing the minimum wage would decrease poverty levels and lead to a more stable economy, but does not provide specific examples or data to support these assertions.
2. Vocabulary and Word Choice: The use of language could be improved to make the argument more persuasive. There are phrases like "extremely scummy" and "fake homeless" that may not come across as professional or objective.

Glows:
1. Evidence and Support: The blog provides a clear example of the current minimum wage in Georgia and compares it to the livable wage, illustrating the discrepancy and the struggles that low-wage workers face.
2. Organization and Cohesion: The blog is well-structured, with each paragraph focusing on a specific point and providing reasons to support the argument for increasing the minimum wage. This makes the argument easy to follow and understand.
