“Hornson!” Lilia told the man as he stood up, “The trasnos are away, they must have gone hunting for human, they were twitching their noses like hounds! Now is our chance to escape, they abducted us!”
“Now they are different than most trasy,” Hornson said, “They did not abduct us, they saved us from being killed by the nisses.”
“They abducted us!” Lilia said angrily, “You fool!”
“Now, now, young lady!” Hornson scolded her, “Ya need to keep ye mouth shut! The two trasy are different, I don’t know how many darn times I gotta tell ya! But please lady! Understand me!”
“Are you siding with trasnos?” She asked horrified.
“I am not siding with anyone or anybody,” Hornson said, “Ya need to understand! Em are trying to be good! They were born of magic book, but put ya self in their darn shoes, tell me? How would you feel to be mistreated?”
Lilia sighed, “Fine,” she sighed, “I will give them a chance, a single one, if I think they are trying to eat my guts, or gnaw on my head, I will,” she crossed her finger over her neck.
“They don’t eat humans,” Hornson said in exasperation, “But be as ya will!”
“We should head for the Agatheean Desert,” Hornson said.
“Of course,” Waerg said as he came towards the two, Dozig was holding a bloody arrow.
“I heard ya were hunting something,” Hornson said, “Did ya get em?”
“We got it,” Dozig assured the Obisan.
“They don’t eat humans,” Hornson said in exasperation, “But be that as you will! We should head for the Agatheean Desert,” Hornson said.
Lilia frowned, still skeptical about the trasnos' intentions. "Why the Agatheean Desert? What's there?"
Waerg, one of the trasnos, chimed in. "The Agatheean Desert is a vast, uninhabited land. It would provide us a safe hiding place, away from both the nisses and any humans who might come searching for us."
Lilia considered their proposal for a moment. If what Hornson said was true, and the trasnos were truly trying to protect them, then perhaps it was worth giving them a chance. She took a deep breath and nodded. "Alright, I'll trust you for now. But if anything goes wrong, I won't hesitate to defend myself."
Hornson smiled. "That's all we ask for - a chance. We'll do our best to prove ourselves."
With that, the group set off towards the Agatheean Desert, hoping to find safety and a new beginning away from the dangers of their previous lives.
