Chapter 4

A tornado hit the area. It picked up your house and rotated it 180 degrees counterclockwise from Chapter 2.

As the tornado approached, the powerful winds roared around my house. I could hear the howling and the destructive force of nature getting closer and closer. Panicked, I braced myself for the impact, knowing that there was nothing I could do to stop it.

In an instant, the tornado tore through my neighborhood, its fury ravaging everything in its path. The deafening sound of twisting metal and shattering glass filled the air. I could feel the house shake violently as the winds lifted it off its foundations.

The sensation of weightlessness overwhelmed me as the tornado carried my house through the air. The world around me blurred in a whirlwind of chaos and turmoil. My belongings were tossed around like confetti, banging against the walls and each other with a deafening clamor.

I held onto anything I could find, desperately trying to anchor myself while the house spun in the vortex's relentless grip. Time seemed to stretch out indefinitely as we were flung about in this airborne chaos. Fear and uncertainty washed over me, my heart racing with every passing second.

Eventually, after what felt like an eternity, the winds began to subside. The descent was as turbulent as the ascent, but ultimately, my house touched down once again. As the deafening noise dissipated, I crawled out from whatever hiding spot I could find, cautiously surveying the aftermath.

What I saw was disorienting. Everything appeared familiar, and yet completely alien. The once-familiar landscape had been turned on its head. My house, which used to face east, now stood in the opposite direction, fully rotated 180 degrees counterclockwise from its original position.

As I stepped outside, I took in the chaos that surrounded me. Trees were uprooted, power lines were torn apart, and debris littered the streets. The neighborhood was unrecognizable, and it was clear that recovery would be a long and arduous process.

Walking through the house, every corner felt strange and foreign. The furniture that once adorned the walls and filled the rooms were now misplaced, upturned, or completely destroyed. It was as if the tornado had upended my life along with my house.

However, despite the devastation, there was a glimmer of hope. My family and I had survived the terrifying ordeal, emerging physically unharmed. It was a sobering reminder of the unpredictable and destructive power of Mother Nature, but also a testament to our resilience in the face of adversity.

As we began the process of picking up the pieces, we remained grateful for our safety and hopeful for the future. The tornado may have turned our lives upside down, but we were determined to rebuild, adapt, and create a new sense of normalcy in this transformed landscape.
