Some of the most populated areas include Lagos in Nigeria, Cairo in Egypt, Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Johannesburg in South Africa, and Nairobi in Kenya. These cities attract people from rural areas and neighboring countries due to economic opportunities, better infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other amenities. Additionally, coastal areas such as Casablanca in Morocco and Dar es Salaam in Tanzania also have high population density. However, it is important to note that Africa is a vast continent with diverse geography, and there are also sparsely populated regions, particularly in rural areas and deserts.
