After the Kushites, also known as the Nubians, conquered Egypt during the 25th Dynasty (approximately 747-656 BCE), they adopted and respected many aspects of Egyptian culture. They viewed themselves as legitimate successors to the pharaohs and aimed to integrate into Egyptian society rather than eradicating it. The Kushite rulers embraced traditional Egyptian religious practices and continued to worship Egyptian gods. They built temples and conducted rituals in a similar manner to their predecessors. The Kushite pharaohs also considered themselves true pharaohs and followed Egyptian customs in terms of dress, regalia, and mannerisms. Additionally, they adopted the use of hieroglyphic writing and minted coins in Egyptian style. Hence, it can be said that the Kushites treated Egyptian culture with reverence and incorporated it into their own ruling traditions.
