The removal of Black legislators from the Georgia General Assembly during Reconstruction took place in the entire state of Georgia. There were 29 Black legislators elected to the General Assembly during this time, but they were gradually removed through various tactics such as the KKK's intimidation, violence, white supremacist propaganda, and fraud in elections. Their removal was not limited to a specific region within Georgia but happened across the state.
