Provide example of physical and chemical changes

Physical change:

Melting ice: When a solid ice cube is heated, it undergoes a physical change and turns into liquid water. The molecular structure of ice remains the same, but the molecules gain enough energy to break the rigid lattice arrangement and move more freely.

Chemical change:
Burning wood: When wood is burned, it undergoes a chemical change. The high heat of the fire causes the wood molecules to react with oxygen in the air, resulting in the production of carbon dioxide, water vapor, and various combustion byproducts like smoke and ash. The original substances (wood) are chemically transformed into new substances with different properties.
