Emptying of the bladder?

The emptying of the bladder is the process by which urine stored in the bladder is released from the body. This process is controlled by the detrusor muscle, which surrounds the bladder, and the urethral sphincters.

When the bladder becomes full, nerves in the bladder send signals to the brain, triggering the desire to urinate. The brain then sends signals back to the bladder, causing the detrusor muscle to contract and the internal urethral sphincter to relax.

The external urethral sphincter, under voluntary control, also relaxes allowing urine to flow out through the urethra. The flow of urine can be regulated and controlled by contracting or relaxing the external sphincter muscle.

The emptying of the bladder usually occurs voluntarily, but in some cases, it can happen involuntarily if there is an issue with bladder control or if there is damage to the nervous system.
