Julius climbed onto the boulder, made a full turn while looking into the distance, and furrowed his brow. Then he crouched down and motioned Maya toward him. She jumped up on the boulder beside him, crouching as he did. Just then something rustled the leaves in the brush surrounding their perch. Maya and Julius peered anxiously into the thick tangle of green and brown. Whatever was moving in there was obscured by the dense foliage.
