As the personnel security analyst for Focux Safeguards Training, you provide companies with their annual ID badge refresher training. You also want to enhance the first part of your presentation.

Start by creating a custom design element on the Slide 1 title slide ("Focux Safeguards Training") as follows:

a. Use Smart Guides to position the yellow sun shape on top of the purple starburst shape as shown in Figure 1.

b. Send the yellow sun shape to the back.

d. Change the merged shape's height to 1.3". Allow the width to adjust automatically.

a. Use Smart Guides to position the yellow sun shape on top of the purple starburst shape as shown in Figure 1.

1. Insert a yellow sun shape from the Shapes menu onto the slide.
2. Insert a purple starburst shape from the Shapes menu onto the slide.
3. Use Smart Guides to guide you as you position and align the yellow sun shape directly on top of the purple starburst shape.

b. Send the yellow sun shape to the back.

1. Right-click on the yellow sun shape.
2. From the right-click menu, go to "Send to Back" and select it.
3. The yellow sun shape will now be positioned behind the purple starburst shape.

c. First, select the purple starburst shape, and then select the yellow sun shape. Merge the two shapes using the Subtract option.

1. Click on the purple starburst shape to select it.
2. Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard and click on the yellow sun shape to select both shapes simultaneously.
3. With the two shapes selected, go to the Format tab in the Ribbon.
4. In the Merge Shapes section, click on the "Merge Shapes" dropdown menu.
5. Select the "Subtract" option.
6. The yellow sun shape will be subtracted from the purple starburst shape, creating a merged shape.

d. Change the merged shape's height to 1.3". Allow the width to adjust automatically.

1. With the merged shape selected, go to the Format tab in the Ribbon.
2. In the Size section, enter "1.3" into the Height box.
3. Leave the Width box empty or set it to 0, which will allow the width to adjust automatically based on the aspect ratio of the shape.

e. Use Smart Guides to position the merged purple shape in the light blue box as shown in Figure 2.

1. Insert a light blue box shape from the Shapes menu onto the slide.
2. Use Smart Guides to guide you as you position and align the merged purple shape within the light blue box.
