What does a heart pump

A heart pumps blood throughout the body. It consists of four chambers: two atria (upper chambers) and two ventricles (lower chambers). The atria receive blood returning to the heart, while the ventricles pump blood out of the heart. As the heart contracts, the ventricles squeeze, forcing blood out of the heart and into the arteries. This blood then travels to different organs and tissues in the body, delivering oxygen and nutrients to cells and removing waste products. The heart's pumping action is essential for maintaining circulation and supplying oxygen and nutrients to the body's cells.
