How does Romeo learn about the masquerade ball?

In William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, Romeo learns about the masquerade ball from a servant who cannot read the invitation list. The servant encounters Romeo and his friends, Benvolio and Mercutio, on the streets of Verona. He asks for their help in reading the names on the invitation list so that he can deliver them to the guests. Romeo agrees to assist and reads the names to the oblivious servant, who does not recognize Romeo and consequently invites him and his friends to the ball. This chance encounter leads Romeo to learn about the masquerade ball and paves the way for him to attend the event where he ultimately meets and falls in love with Juliet.
