The president of Mexico during the passage of the Law of April 6, 1830, and the beginning of the civil war was Vicente Guerrero. The Law of April 6, 1830 further centralized power in the Mexican government and placed restrictions on immigration from the United States to Mexican territories, which eventually led to the Texas Revolution and the Mexican-American War.
