Endothermic

Endothermic refers to a chemical reaction or process that absorbs heat from the surroundings, resulting in a decrease in temperature. In an endothermic reaction, energy is consumed, and the products have more chemical potential energy than the reactants. Examples of endothermic processes include melting ice, evaporation, and photosynthesis. Endothermic reactions often require an external energy source to be initiated, such as an electric spark or heat.
