As a senior prefect of your school you have been invited to tell PTA what your school needs most
Dear esteemed members of the Parent-Teacher Association,
I am honored to be given the opportunity to address you today on behalf of the students of our school. As the senior prefect, I have been vested with the responsibility of representing the student body. We are grateful to the PTA for all the support and contributions they have made to our school, and today I would like to share with you some of the areas that we feel require the most attention and improvement.
Firstly, our education system requires modernization and re-branding to suit the changing times. Our curriculum should be more practical and orientated towards preparing graduates for the future job market. In addition, our learning facilities, such as libraries, IT rooms, and laboratories, need to be upgraded with the latest technologies to keep us competitive in today’s digital world.
Secondly, our physical environment needs improvement, as some areas of the school are in a state of disrepair. Our classrooms need upgrading with modern desks, chairs, boards, and other learning aids. The school halls and other common areas should be renovated to provide more space for learning and recreational activities. Also, the school grounds require maintenance, such as grass cutting and tree pruning, to create a conducive environment for learning and comfort.
Thirdly, we request more extracurricular activities to develop and enhance various talents among the students. These activities help us to learn new skills, develop leadership qualities and socialize with fellow students, which in turn contribute to our overall personal and academic growth.
Lastly, we appeal to the PTA to offer more scholarships and sponsorships to underprivileged students who may face financial challenges in meeting their academic needs. This would provide them with opportunities that might not ordinarily be available to them.
In conclusion, as students, we are committed to working together with the PTA and the school’s administration to improve the learning environment and our overall academic performance. We believe these suggestions will make a lasting impact on the school’s future and enable us to stay competitive in today’s rapidly evolving world. Thank you for listening.
