Can you write a poem about emptiness?

Emptiness

A void where there was once a soul
A hollowness that takes its toll
Echoes in the dark unspoken
Empty heart, a heart that's broken

Silent nights, a soundless cry
Drowning in an endless sky
Drifting on an ocean's tide
Emptiness we cannot hide

No color in a world of gray
No sunshine in the light of day
A fragile state, a mind at bay
Emptiness is here to stay

No joy in laughter, only pain
No hope in sunshine, only rain
A blank canvas, a life mundane
Emptiness, forever to remain

But in the midst of all this gloom
A spark, a light, a full moon
A glimmer of love, a hint of bliss
Emptiness fades, replaced with this.
