According to Britannica, some key figures and leaders of the French Revolution include Maximilien Robespierre, Georges Danton, Jean-Paul Marat, Louis XVI, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Marie Antoinette. Robespierre was a member of the Committee of Public Safety and a leading figure in the Reign of Terror. Danton was also a member of the Committee of Public Safety and a prominent member of the Jacobin Club. Marat was a radical journalist who called for the execution of those he deemed enemies of the revolution. Louis XVI was the king of France during the revolution and was ultimately executed by the revolutionaries. Napoleon Bonaparte rose to power after the revolution and became Emperor of France.
